About Me

I’m a co-founder and President of the leading online real estate company Trulia, based in San Francisco. I’ve had the priviledge and sweet luck to be able to work with an amazing team that has grown Trulia to a 300+ employee, profitable company that is helping more than 17 Million people each month to find their dream home to rent or buy. And that is just the beginning.

After finishing my Masters in Engineering Physics and a brief stint at a Nuclear Power Plant as a radio chemist, I left the world of radio active water samples for good. Through various business and business development roles at Nokia, Microsoft and McKinsey&Company, I quickly learned that there was a reason I was so excited about my first Commodore 64 and learning the basics of software programming in the late 80’s. I couldn’t escape it; I’m a tech entrepreneur at heart and Trulia is now the second company I’ve founded.

But I need a balancing act: Endurance sports, particularly triathlon, is another passion of mine. I’ve enjoyed the journey of optimizing physical performance while working 90 hour weeks and traveling extensively. In addition to a sub 9-hour finish at the Ironman Hawaii, I became the age group world champion at the Half Ironman (70.3.) distance in 2011 and was ranked number #2 age group triathlete in the U.S. in 2009. My fastest Ironman triathlon was 8h51min and I also have several age group course records at Wildflower and Treasure Island triathlons, as well as 3 consecutive age group wins at the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon. And the journey continues…

Whether at the office or on the road, I’m an incurable data geek and believe that if you can measure it, you can improve it. To my own embarrassment and others’ entertainment, I might just have a detailed spreadsheet for everything…
